Many years ago, I was given a pothos as a gift; the first houseplant of many to follow. Starting with a highly neglect-tolerant plant that thrived under my novice care was the best way to begin treading through the uncharted territory of houseplant care. There were casualties along the way until I could safely say that I had developed a ‘green thumb’, but my initial easy-to-grow plant encouraged me to continue with my new hobby. For the past two decades, I have had the pleasure of sharing my home with many different plants - some more challenging than others.

In my never-ending search to formulate the easiest methods possible to raise happy, healthy houseplants, I stumbled across hydroculture purely by accident – and good fortune. I fell in love with this system - that has been highly popular in Europe for decades - for its simplicity and its success rate. Thus my ‘green thumb’ was promptly replaced by a ‘wet thumb’.

This personal website shares information and experience that I’ve gathered over time, especially on The Hydro Log page. But its main purpose is to introduce the most refreshing and outstanding method of growing houseplants to the world.

So grab a cup of your favourite beverage, make yourself comfortable and let me tell you all about hydroculture ... You might just fall in love with it too.
